Facilitated by Carrie Hogan

The TD Summer Reading Club is a fun (and free!) program for kids held by participating Canadian public libraries. Thanks to all the parents and kids who attended the TD Reading Club this summer. We had a super time learning about and creating our wild creatures! Hope to see everyone next year. Read_while_standing_on_one_leg

Write Night (15+)

The first Monday of the month
Facilitated by Linda Vanderlee

writing

Come play with words, your words! Linda will offer creative, short, and fun writing exercises to simply goof around with words and ideas and different ways into the writing process.  No experience necessary just an open mind and a playful spirit…and maybe a favourite pen!

This is a Friends of the Wakefield Library (FoWL) sponsored program where we play with words and writing in a bunch of different ways. No experience necessary, just a sense of curiosity, a love of words and an inclination to shake off any creative cobwebs that might be lurking within yourself. We will use different short writing exercises to get the juices flowing. (We surprised ourselves on more than one occasion last year!) How you participate is always your choice, including whether you decide to share out loud what you wrote.

Maybe you have a writing exercise to share with us. Linda would be delighted to share the facilitating role if anyone is interested!

For questions please email Linda at contact@wakefieldlibrary.ca and put Write Night in the subject line.
