May Library News

POETEA Poets and poetry lovers gather on May 5th at 7pm to listen to and share poetry on the theme of Utopia. Guest poet is Manahil Bandukwala.

WRITERS  If you want to stimulate your creative juices together with others, the last in-person Write Night until the Fall will be on May 12th from 7 – 8:30 pm.  Monthly on-line sessions continue year round.

MEDITATION with gentle guidance from experienced practitioners, will be offered for 6 weeks every Tuesday from May 12 – June 13  at 4:30 – 5:30 pm.  New and experienced meditators are all welcome. Please be on time and try to leave your conversations at the door.

STORYTELLING for the little ones will not run this month but plans to return in June. Please watch this space for details.

A BIG THANK YOU to the wonderful volunteers who first packed up the books and computers and moved shelves away from the walls so that the Municipality could paint and then returned a week later to clean up and put the library back together again. Our walls have been blank since January awaiting this so keep an eye out for what gets hung on them next.

THE BOOK NOOK is currently well stocked with your generous donations of gently used and much treasured books. Once the market begins they will start flying off the shelves so it is definitely worth a visit soon. We are currently accepting book donations but please make other arrangements for the ones that are obviously well past their prime condition. Thank you.
